Join us on A Journey of Discovery, May 30-June 5, when the Children's Festival moves to Granville Island.
It's going to be an exciting year for the Children's Festival with great shows for different age groups, many with more elaborate staging than ever before to dazzle and entertain. We even have some later shows for the big kids!
Included with your show ticket is a wristband to enjoy a whole day of fun in our five Interactive Zones. Flex your creativity with face painting and Aboriginal crafts, immerse yourselves in Interactive Sculpture Installations and the Wish Garden, create a mask at Legends of Taiwan, let the little ones play and create in the Under Six Mix and much, much more.

Scenes From A Tree
Created specifically for ages 2-6, this poetic adventure lasts 30 minutes, an ideal length for very young audience members. Scenes from a Tree celebrates life and the changes that each season brings in a magical wonderland of trees, leaves and flowers. More info & tickets
FARFALLE (Butterflies) Ages 3 & up
Join one of Italy’s most innovative theatre companies on a magnificent journey through a butterfly's life cycle. “Told” by two graceful dancers, the luminous, brilliantly lit stage becomes a glowing garden that responds from every direction to their movements. More info & tickets
RUSSELL'S WORLD Ages 5-10
It's after school and Russell's bedroom suddenly comes alive with pirates and talking books that help him solve his schoolyard problems. Written and performed by acclaimed First Nations playwright and actor Herbie Barnes and featuring extraordinary puppetry. 46 CIRCUS ACTS IN 45 MINUTES Ages 5 & up
Wherever Australia's Circa has taken its heart-stopping show, audiences have flocked to see the impossible happen. Be amazed as intrepid acrobats battle the clock, and marvel at the astounding ways they bend, fly, juggle and balance. Set to upbeat music, this is fast, furious family fun. More info & tickets
INFINITUS: From Handel to Hip Hop All Ages
Think classical music isn't hip? Think again. From jazz to hip-hop to movie themes to classical works, you will be amazed by the musical concoctions the award-winning musicians of Vancouver’s string trio Infinitus can cook up with just a violin, viola, cello and vocals. More info & tickets
IT'S EASY TO GET TO GRANVILLE ISLAND
Granville Island is readily accessible by public transit. The Canada Line Olympic Village station is within walking distance and is served by the #50 and #84 buses, which provide frequent service to Granville Island. There is plenty of bicycle parking on the island.

Parking will be available Saturday and Sunday in the Wye Lot directly underneath the Burrard Street Bridge, entrance at the foot of Fir Street & West 1st Avenue. Thanks to the Squamish Nation for their support. Parking will also be available behind the Seaforth Armoury on Burrard Street, off West 1st Avenue.
